Capacitors
For capacitors we categorize them in three groups:
E-Cap:
- Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are specially suitable for general purpose applications.
- This technology is available since many decades and convinces mostly by the excellent price/performance ratio and wide selection of products.
Polymer:
- Solid polymer were developed especially to handle higher ripple current in a compact housing.
- This technology is ideally suitable for use on processor core voltages in computer, peripheral and industrial applications.
Hybrid:
- Hybrid polymer capacitors combine the advantages of both, E-Cap and polymer technolgy in one product.
- They are ideally used on (xEV-) battery powered application because of the low leakage current.
